BVE Developer Calculator

The BVE Developer's calculator is a must have tool for all BVE route developers out there. Coded using Microsoft Visual Basic 6, it originally began as a simple revision exercise for my A2 Level computing exam.

This all-in-one calculator will save you much of the mathematical trouble encountered such as converting miles to kilometres, MPH to KPH or converting 1 in X gradient to pitches. I have also added a calculator for implementing the UK safety system (AWS and TPWS). The program will also feature a cant calculator, which will work out the amount of cant in millimetres required for a specific curve radius.

The program is not fully completed and may contain a few bugs. The current known bug is with the Diverging curve calculator; if the distance is greater than the curve radius, its gives a runtime error due to the mathematical formula used. Hence it’s a beta release. I will attempt to fix all the bugs at a later date.  If you discover any other bugs apart from the diverging curve calculator, please let me know. Email here.

A proper release is due at a later date, in the meantime, have fun with this little program. I hope that you will find this useful.
