Route
Overview
The Central Line
is a deep-level tube line, using the London Underground 1992 tube
stock. The line has three main depots, at Ruislip,
Hainault and White City, with Ruislip in the north west of the LU
network, White City in the centre and Hainault in the North East.
The Central London Railway was opened 1891, and ran
between
Shepherd's Bush in the west and Bank in the east. The line has been
extended several times since, and now has an entire length of 46
miles.
This
BVE4 version will run from West Ruislip in the suburbs of north west
London, to White City in the west of the city. The route will also
feature the reverse run from White City to the national rail
interchange of Ealing Broadway, where passengers can change for the
Great
Western Mainline to Reading and the South West. The route will feature
photographic texturing at every station, making each station a
near-exact representation of the real thing. The trackside scenery will
also be photographic to give a real feel of the line. The line is
operated by the 1992TS, which is an ATO train. The Central Line
operates an ATO service throughout, however this BVE4 representation
may not incorporate such features.
Progress
Version 1 is now complete to Perivale. The
route
will now continue onto Marble Arch where the train can use the
reversers.
